Approach

One musical world, continuously transformed.

The score for Stryx was conceived as a single musical world in which the story and its characters could exist. The series is built around a central melodic theme, reshaped throughout the episodes in different harmonic, rhythmic and instrumental forms. Carlo Borromeo is given a distinct thematic identity within that larger framework.

The sound palette centres on solo cello, low and rudimentary percussion, choir and the expressive use of the human voice. These elements expand in the most dramatic moments, while remaining connected to the same core musical language across the series.
